The Art Club is open to any creative, art-loving, student that is in 7th or 8th grade. The club is a great way to hang out with other creative students at Plains!

Plains Junior's Drama Club is proud to announce our musical for the 2023-24 season:  Legally Blonde Jr!  

More information will be provided to those who are interested in auditioning or being a part of the stage crew in late October.  Make sure to listen to your daily announcements for informational meeting times and more.

The Junior Honor Society is established to recognize outstanding middle level students.  More than just an honor roll, JHS serves to honor those students who have demonstrated excellence in the areas of scholarship, leadership, service, character and citizenship.

Membership not only recognizes students for their accomplishments, but also challenges them to develop further through active involvement in school activities and community service.  Students at Plains will apply for induction during the fall of their eighth-grade year.

The Yearbook Club is for students who are proficient with computers and want to be involved with the production of the yearbook.

Students in the club attend after school meetings once or twice a month.  Club members will choose the cover of the yearbook, create the yearbook theme, design the layouts and pages, and take pictures.

Student Council is a community service organization which helps promote school spirit, philanthropic services, and good citizenship while also initiating positive leadership development to all involved students.

Some of the activities led by Student Council include:  sponsoring school dances and pep rallies, raising money for local and national charities, participating in community service events, and promoting school spirit through attending school wide events and managing concession stands.  

Consider becoming involved in a club which truly makes a difference in your school and community.

Jazz Band is for students who want additional chances to perform.  In Jazz Band, students will experience styles of music that are different from the Concert Band class.  Students will also learn how to improvise.

Steam Team:  Science helps to create a passion for learning science through tournaments at the building, district, county, state, and national levels with an emphasis on teamwork and a commitment to excellence.

There is an emphasis on problem solving and hands-on learning.  This extra-curricular activity prepares students for competition in science and technology related events.

The Lakota Plains Boys Club is an opportunity to work collectively as men to better ourselves both in and out school.

Members will learn soft skills that will propel them into their young adulthood.  These skills will be crafted with a huge emphasis on open discussion.  Students will be able to self-advocate through deep/engaging conversation.  The intention is to provide a space for our young gentlemen to come together and build camaraderie.
